I was one of the last two participants sitting on the grass at the podium this weekend. I had to shoot you a note to thank you and your crew for a great event. I did it on a lark, which is how I did my first triathlon, my first double century, my first marathon, even my first Iron Man. As an event, the Mt. Evans Hill Climb was on par with any of those in terms of challenge. My friend and I enjoyed both the race and the party. Being from Santa Fe, sitting on a lawn is a rare treat, plus the soundtrack was good, and the patter fun and good natured.

Thank you for a most wonderful day! We all had a special time on that wonderful Mount Evans .
I personally appreciate all the information I received , And yes I did manage to finish under 4 hrs by 15 seconds , my first time, nothing stellar but for me a personal goal , so thank you to all of your amazing team for allowing us to have such a fun Saturday .

I just wanted to say thank you. This was my first time at your event and I had a great time. I love the jersey, the ride support was awesome, and I had a really good group of riders who all helped push each other in a supportive way. … I hope to do the ride again next year. If in your meeting please pass along my thanks to the town for all their support as well.

I liked everything about the event, but first and foremost was the communication.  Though this was my first time riding in the official Mt. Evans Hill Climb event (I’ve ridden Mt. Evans once before on my own), I felt I had plenty of information – via e-mails and Facebook – to be prepared for the event.  Also, online registration was quick and easy, timing chip pickup was quick and easy, and all the volunteers I encountered were friendly and helpful.  And the ride itself is something else!  And from what I’ve heard about past events, having the registration area separate from the start made things much more organized and less congested.
